Karen Heuler's stories have appeared in over 100 literary and speculative magazines and anthologies, from Conjunctions to Clarkesworld to Weird Tales, as well as a number of Best Of anthologies. She has received an O. Henry award, been a finalist for the Iowa short fiction award, the Bellwether award, the Shirley Jackson award for short fiction (twice), and a bunch of other near-misses. She has published four novels and three story collections, and in July Aqueduct Press released her novella, In Search of Lost Time, about a woman who can steal time.

A gigantic thanks to everyone who turned out for our thirteenth regular episode of Line Break this past Saturday, at beautiful Q.E.D. in Astoria, Queens. Peter Bryce is an attorney and essayist. Prior to law school, he ran an underground cardroom and casino in a Washington D.C. loftspace. According to numerous sources, he is able to control the outcome of games of chance with his mind.

Sam J. Miller is a writer and a community organizer. His debut novel, The Art of Starving (YA/SF), was published by HarperCollins in 2017, and will be followed by Blackfish City from Ecco Press in 2018.

His stories have been nominated for the Nebula, World Fantasy, and Theodore Sturgeon Awards, and have appeared in over a dozen "year's best" anthologies. He's a graduate of the Clarion Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers Workshop, and a winner of the Shirley Jackson Award. He lives in New York City, and at www.samjmiller.com.

David Mills is the author of two books, The Dream Detective (a small-press bestseller) and The Sudden Country, a 2012 book finalist for the Main Street Rag Prize. He is the subject of the documentary Freak the Language, and has had two poems featured on ESPN. He lived for three years in Langston Hughes' landmark Harlem home and performs a one-person show of Hughes' work. He received a poetry fellowship from the New York Foundation for the Arts and an MFA from Warren Wilson College. His poems have appeared in Ploughshares, Jubilat, Callaloo and Brooklyn Rail, to name a few.

Austin Grossman is a novelist and game designer.

His novels include Soon I Will Be Invincible, YOU, and Crooked. Soon I Will Be Invincible was nominated for the 2007 John Sargent Sr. First Novel Prize. His writing has also appeared in Granta, The Wall Street Journal, and The New York Times.

His major game credits include Ultima Underworld 2, System Shock, Trespasser, Deus Ex, Epic Mickey, Dishonored, and Dishonored 2. He is currently Director of Game Design and Interactive Storytelling at the augmented reality company Magic Leap.

Kem Joy Ukwu's fiction has appeared in PANK, BLACKBERRY: a magazine, Carve, TINGE, Blue Lake Review, Jabberwock Review, Auburn Avenue, The Brooklyn Quarterly and Day One. Her short story collection manuscript, Locked Gray/Linked Blue, was selected as a finalist for the 2016 New American Fiction Prize. The same collection is forthcoming from Brain Mill Press in February 2018. Born and raised in the Bronx, she currently lives in New Jersey with her husband.
