Andrew Willett was raised in the eastern suburbs of San Francisco, which felt a lot like the part of the Spielberg movie before the aliens and monsters show up. An editor at The New York Times, he’s been a New Yorker for twenty-odd years and can’t imagine living anywhere else. His fiction has appeared in the anthology Thoughtcrime Experiments and, most recently, the finalists’ anthology from this year's Saints and Sinners Literary Festival.

Kambri Crews once lived with her deaf parents in a tin shed in Montgomery, Texas. She now owns and operates Q.E.D. – A Place to Show & Tell in Astoria, Queens. An after-school space for grown-ups, Q.E.D. is a café and co-working space by day and comedy club and learning center by night. With 80 to 100 events per month ranging from comedy and music to classes like learning to crochet or home brew beer, there is something for everyone.

Kambri is also a renowned storyteller and the author of the critically acclaimed and New York Times bestselling memoir Burn Down the Ground (Random House). James Gordon (a/k/a G.P.A.) was unable to make it to last Saturday's Line Break thanks to a cancelled flight from his native Chicago. But we still want you to sample the raw power of his work, and nothing he's done is as raw or powerful as this brand-new poem, "Police Are Bullies." Take a listen. Then listen again.

William Shunn is a writer and storyteller who was born in Los Angeles, raised in Utah, expelled from Canada, and now lives in Astoria, Queens. He is the author, most recently, of the memoir The Accidental Terrorist: Confessions of a Reluctant Missionary. He hosts and produces the Line Break Reading Series.

Bill's short fiction has appeared in Salon, Storyteller, Bloodstone Review, Newtown Literary, Asimov's Science Fiction, The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction, Science Fiction Age, Realms of Fantasy, Electric Velocipede, and various anthologies, including year's-best collections. His work has been nominated for the Hugo Award, the Nebula Award, the Theodore Sturgeon Memorial Award, and the Association for Mormon Letters Award. He served three years as a national juror for the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, and for another three years he hosted and produced the acclaimed Tuesday Funk literary reading series in Chicago.

Bill's storytelling was featured most recently at the Throckmorton Theatre in Mill Valley, CA, he made an appearance in Michael Ian's Black newest comedy special, Noted Expert, and he'll soon be heard on the Modern Stories Mix podcast. Visit him online at shunn.net.

Q.E.D. is a short trip from Manhattan on the N train. Just stay on to Ditmars Boulevard at the end of the line. The Q train does not run to Queens on weekends.

Robert J. Howe has published short fiction in Salon.com, the magazines Analog, Electric Velocipede, and Black Gate, and the anthologies Newer York and Happily Ever After, among other venues. His novelette, “The Cartographer of Dreamland,” took first place in the InterGalactic Medicine Show Reader’s Choice Awards. He published a series of haiku, “Bury My Heart at Olduvai Gorge,” as part of the digital print collaboration Knowing Limits, a traveling exhibition shown in U.S. national parks, 1997-1999. He has never been arrested. Luck was a factor.
